The European Aviation Safety
Agency (EASA) on Wednesday issued a bulletin making a "strong
recommendation" that airlines avoid the Ben Gurion Airport in
Tel Aviv until further notice.
One day earlier, the United States Federal Aviation
Administration issued a stricter order, telling American
carriers that they must avoid Ben Gurion after a rocket strike
near the airport.
The ban was to last for at least 24 hours and the FAA said
it would reconsider Wednesday.
Israel has asked the US to reconsider that ban, and former
New York mayor Michael Bloomberg announced that he was flying
into Ben Gurion to demonstrate that it was safe.
