South Korean President Moon Jae-in
will deliver an invitation from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un
for Pope Francis to visit the Communist State when the former
meets the pontiff in the Vatican next week, Yonhap reported on
Tuesday.
"When he meets with Pope Francis, he will convey Chairman
Kim's message that he will ardently welcome him if he visits
Pyongyang," a South Korea's presidential spokesman was quoted as
saying.
