Pope stopping cigarette sales in Vatican

Pontiff doesn't want to contribute to harming health

(ANSA) - Vatican City, November 9 - Vatican Spokesman Greg Burke said Thursday that Pope Francis has "decided that the Vatican will stop the sale of cigarettes to its personnel from 2018". Burke added: "the reason is very simple: the Holy See must not contribute to a practice that clearly damages people's health".
