Mass in Latin is a special
occasion and an exception, Pope Francis has stressed.
However, Pope Benedict XVI used it as a gesture to move
closer to the mentality of some groups and people who were
nostalgic and had begun to drift away, Pope Francis said in an
interview in the book 'Nei Tuoi Occhi E' la Mia Parola'.
Pope Francis added on Thursday in meeting with participants
of a plenary session of the Pontifical Council for the Unity of
Christians that he had seen that "the desire for communion and
alive and strong".
He added that the unity of Christians was one of his major
concerns.
