Pope Francis called on
governments to help the victims of forced migration at the end
of his week-long visit to Mexico before he took off to return to
the Vatican.
The Argentina pontiff is set to land at Rome's Ciampino
airport later on Thursday.
"No more death. No more exploitation," the pope implored
as he held Mass at Ciudad Juárez on Mexico's border to the
United States.
"Here in Ciudad Juárez, as in other border areas, there
are thousands of immigrants from Central America and other
countries, not forgetting the many Mexicans who also seek to
pass over 'to the other side'," he said.
"Each step, a journey laden with grave injustices: the
enslaved, the imprisoned and extorted.
"So many of these brothers and sisters of ours are the
consequence of a trade in human beings".
