(ANSA) - Vatican City, October 21 - The Vatican's substitute
for general affairs at the secretariat of state, Monsignor
Angelo Becciu, on Wednesday brushed aside media reports that
Pope Francis has a brain tumour.
"I met with the pope yesterday evening. He's very well and
on great form! What's all this commotion about his health?" Msgr
Becciou wrote in a post to his Twitter feed, published by the
Vatican newspaper Osservatore Romano.
Earlier Vatican Spokesman Father Federico Lombardi denied a
report by QN magazine that Pope Francis has a small, curable
brain tumour.
He described the report as "totally unfounded,
irresponsible and unworthy of attention".
