Pope 'not worried' about health for Latin America trip

Press office says Francis 'didn't have the least worry'

(ANSA) - Vatican City, June 30 - Pope Francis "didn't have the least worry or uncertainty" regarding demands on his health that may be placed by an upcoming Latin American trip that will include many changes in altitude, said Fr. Federico Lombardi, Vatican press secretary, on Tuesday.
Pope Francis will visit Bolivia, Paraguay, and Ecuador on his trip from July 5 to 13.
"We know that it can be challenging to take a trip with these changes in altitude (...) but (Francis) wanted to make this stop and he is doing it with total conviction that he can do it well," Lombardi said.
