Pope Francis on Monday
welcomed the Center for Child Protection launched by the
Pontifical Gregorian University.
After an initial three-year phase, the center will expand
its action to prevent sexual abuse against minors on an
international scale.
"I rejoice for all that you are doing and I know that this
work will be fruitful", the pontiff wrote in a message to Father
Hans Zollner, the Jesuit priest who chairs the center.
The second part of the program of the Center for child
Protection was presented Monday at the university.
Along with an e-learning program, the center will offer in
2016 a course dedicated to safeguarding minors against abuse at
the Pontifical Gregorian University.
