Paul VI set for beatification

Intervention led to healing of unborn child, sys Church

(ANSA) - Rome, May 6 - Pope Paul VI is set to be beatified after the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints said that he performed a miracle by intervening in the inexplicable healing of an unborn child, ANSA sources said Tuesday. Paul VI, who was pope from 1963 until his death in 1978, is expected to be beatified on October 19. Beatification is the half-way stage to sainthood.
