Universiade: accord inked with health

For medical services coordination centre

(ANSA) - Naples, June 21 - An institutional agreement was signed Friday between the commissioning structure of the Naples Universiade 2019 and the ASL Napoli 1 Centro local healthcare authority.
The accord aims to ensure a coordinated first aid system in all competition facilities between June 27 and July 16.
At the technical table for medical services for the event - coordinated by Professor Amato de Paulis from Naples' AOU Federico II - Giuseppe Galano, COT 118 Territorial Activities director, will be representing the local healthcare authority. The agreement also calls for the fixed presence in the operating centre of the emergency 118 hotline of an operator specifically for the event. "We are happy that the ASL Napoli 1 Centro is at the Universiade's side," said Special Commissioner Gianluca Basile, "to manage and coordinate any emergencies at the local and regional level." Director General Ciro Verdoliva said that "ASL Napoli 1 Centro is ready to do its part in the splendid adventure of the Universiade. Given the dimensions of the event, it is clear that our company will be involved in a preponderant manner. We have been asked to coordinate the necessary interventions to ensure an integrated system of medical services and effective management in all facilities in which the sports events will take place." "This time - more than ever - we can say that the 'team of ASL Napoli 1 Centro is ready. We send our most sincere wishes to all the athletes," he added.
