Universiade: bidding for second ship

9 mln euros, lodgings and services for about 2,000 athletes

(ANSA) - Naples, September 5 - The commissioning body for the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples have launched a Europe-wide tender for the renting of a second cruise ship that will be docked in the Naples port to host some of the athletes' village.
    The tender (which can be accessed via the link http://universiadi.jelastic.dogado.eu/PortaleAppalti/it/homepage .wp?actionPath=/ExtStr2/do/FrontEnd/Bandi/view.action&currentFra me=7&codice=G00174) is worth nine million euros and closes on September 18.
    It provides for the cruise ship to be moored in the Naples port from June 28 to July 16, 2019. The contract must include free Wi-Fi, surveillance of both the internal and external areas, cleaning of the rooms and shared areas, laundry services, food, beverages and all other services normally offered onboard to cruise ship passengers. The ship will host about 2,000 passengers, while another about 2,000 will be hosted onboard the MSC Lirica, the first ship granted a contract for the 2019 Universiade.
