Italy's Dominik Paris won the
world championship SuperG on Wednesday.
Paris came in ahead of two men on the same time who both won
silver, France's Johann Clarey and Austria's Vincent Kriechmayr.
Another Italian, Christof Innerhofer, came fourth.
Innerhofer won the same event at the 2011 world championships
in Garmisch.
"After the victories in Bormio and Kiztbuehel, this gold
arrived too", said Paris.
"It's really a magical year".
Describing the face, he said: "I was among the first to run,
with bib no 3. I had no reference points and was not certain I'd
put in a good run at the finish line.
"I stepped on the gas but in the final part I had to correct,
losing time and speed.
"Then it was a long wait to see someone would be better than
me".
At Kitzbuehel, Paris won his third downhill last month on the
legendary Streif.
He has also won a SuperG on the Hannenkahm course.
