Nino Ciccarelli, the Inter ultra
arrested Friday for scuffles before the Napoli game on Boxing
Day in which an Inter fan was run over and killed, on Monday
admitted taking part in the clashes, police said.
Ciccarelli is head of the historic Viking ultra group. The
dead fan, Daniele Belardinelli, was head of an ultra group of
Serie D side Varese, which is twinned with Inter.
The Viking head said he was hurt in the scuffles but did not
admit organising the attack on Napoli fans, police said.
Another Inter ultra head implicated in the clashes, Marco
Piovella aka Red, was remanded in custody on Monday.
The game, which Inter won 1-0, was also marred by monkey
chants against Napoli's Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
