Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti on
Friday defended Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, who has
come under fire for goading Juventus fans after his side
completed a 2-1 comeback win over the Italian giants in a
Champions League game in Turin this week.
"I understand Mourinho. It isn't easy to take 90 minutes of
insults," Ancelotti said.
"He made an ironic gesture. It was nothing heavy".
Mourinho cupped his hand to his ear, as if to ask the Juve
faithful 'what do you have to say now?.
"It's true that we have a responsibility as coaches," said
Ancelotti, who also came under a barrage of insults when Napoli
visited his former club Juve this season.
"But these continual insults must end and I don't mean just
in Turin.
"It happens in all the Italian stadiums".
