New Italy coach Giampiero
Ventura on Monday presented his first team saying he wanted it
to be entertaining because that was the best way to get results.
Speaking at Coverciano training camp ahead of a September 1
friendly against France in Bari and a September 5 Russia 2018
World Cup qualifier against Israel in Haifa, Ventura said "I
would like an Italy able to entertain because when the players
enjoy themselves on the pitch, so does the crowd. Every time
that has happened to me I have got results". Former Torino boss
Ventura said that the team of his predecessor, former Juventus
and current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, " was based on
organisation, great willingness by the players and a compact
group." He said "it we had the desire to have fun to that, then
we have a chance of carving out a space as protagonists".
