Italy's National Amateur Soccer
League voted no confidence Thursday in President Felice Belloli
over remarks he allegedly made about women soccer players.
Sources said the vote was unanimous after Belloli put his future
in its hands. He has denied reports he dismissed women soccer
players as "a bunch of lesbians" in a discussion over funding.
Belloli has disputed minutes from the meeting that quoted him as
saying: "That's enough, we can't always talk about giving money
to a bunch of lesbians". Witnesses say they heard the comments.
