Napoli and Fiorentina got through
to the Europa League semi-finals Thursday night with aggregate
wins over Wolfsburg and Dinamo Kiev respectively.
With Juventus already through to the Champions League
semis, it is the first time in 12 years that three Italian teams
have advanced so far in both European competitions.
Napoli secured a 2-2 home draw for a 6-3 aggregate win
against the Germans with goals by José Callejon and Dries
Mertens.
Fiorentina got a 2-0 home win against Dinamo thanks to
goals from Mario Gomez and Juan Manuel Vargas, for a 3-1
aggregate win.
