AS Roma are close to signing 27-year-old Ivory Coast forward Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow, ANSA sources said Friday.
The title-chasing Roman team are completing the documentation for the player to arrive on loan with an option for a permanent move at the end of season, the sources said.
Roma, who are second in Serie A, seven points behind leaders Juventus, need to reinforce their attack after Mattia Destro joined AC Milan this week.
Doumbia is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast along with Gervinho, his probable future team mate. Ivory Coast face Algeria in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
