Four-time Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel has said he is not expecting instant success at Ferrari.
The 27-year-old former Red Bull driver takes the place of Spain's Fernando Alonso, who has left the Italian glamour after being unable to win the title in five years with them due to a lack of competitive cars.
"I am not fooling myself that we will be able to challenge (world champions) Mercedes next year," Vettel told Die Welt.
"I am aware that we have a big job coming up that will take time - especially given that Mercedes have such a massive competitive advantage".
