Italian golfing prodigy Matteo
Manassero teed off from Italy's tallest skyscraper to inaugurate
a new Milan city practice course Monday.
Manassero, 21, the youngest-ever winner of the PGA
Championship, blasted a drive from the 207-metre-high Torre
Isozaki onto the CityLife fairway 350 metres away.
"It was like being on a plane up there," said Manassero,
who exploded onto the international scene when he became
the youngest winner of the British Amateur Championship aged 16
years and 63 days in 2009.
"The green looked tiny, it was impossible to see.
"It was really a massive thrill.
"Now I can say I took a shot off the highest skyscraper in
Italy," said the Verona native.
