There were almost 5,000 measles
cases in Italy last year, almost six times the 2016 total, and
four people died of the disease, the health ministry said
Thursday. Italy was second in the EU last year for number of
cases only to Romania, the ministry said. There were
complications in 35.8% of the 4,9991 cases, the ministry said.
