Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana on
Thursday brought police a 30-page dossier detailing a "climate
of hatred" shown by threats and online intimidation as well as
anonymous letters warning him to to be careful about
"accidents".
Fontana was placed under police protection following threats
last month.
One of the letters, to Fontana's family, mentioned "a
possible car accident".
The dossier was delivered to prosecutor Alberto Nobili, head
of the antiterrorism unit in Milan.
