Bullet sent to Turin Mayor Appendino

First citizen says attempted intimidation will have no effect

(ANSA) - Turin, May 15 - An envelope containing a bullet was sent to Turin Mayor Chiara Appendino's office, ANSA sources said on Wednesday, confirming a report by Corriere della Sera. The first citizen of the northern Italian city also had an explosive package mailed to her last month.
"These attempts at intimidation have no effect," said Appendino, a member of the 5-Star Movement (M5S).
"On the contrary, they drive me on to do my job as mayor with the utmost determination".
