If more Naples area mayors
refuse to apply Interior Minister Matteo Salvini's
migrant-security decree like Naples Mayor Luigi de Magistris "it
doesn't bother me but it bothers the Neapolitans", Salvini said
Friday.
"An interior minister can't change a mayor's mind by decree",
he said.
Mayors including de Magistris and Palermo's Leoluca Orlando
have rebelled against the decree saying it strips migrants of
basic rights to housing and healthcare.
In other remarks, Salvini said "the State is here" over a
recent spate of bombs at Afragola, and said squatters must be
evicted.
