Deputy Premier and Interior
Minister Matteo Salvini said Wednesday that those in government
cannot say no to all proposals.
"You cannot say no to coal, no to oil, no to methane, no to
(offshore) drilling," said Salvini, who is in Sardinia for a
series of rallies for his League party and to take part in a
provincial public order and security meeting.
"We can't go around with candles and burning wood. You can
discuss everything, but you can't get by just with noes".
The League's coalition partners in the 5-Star Movement (M5S)
have come under fire for their opposition to some infrastructure
projects, including the TAV Turin-Lyon high-speed rail link, and
drilling in the Adriatic.
