Interior Minister Matteo
Salvini reiterated Friday he wants the Turin-Lyon high-speed
rail (TAV) line to go ahead despite his government partner's
opposition but said "no one expects the project not to be
touched".
"No one expects the project not to be touched but I want an
Italy of Yes that goes forward and not turns backwards," he
said.
Salvini said a revision of the project was possible but not
its cancellation.
The 5-Star Movement (M5S), partner of Salvini's League party,
wants the project halted and a cost/benefit analysis expected at
the end of January is expected to come out against it.
