Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi will
testify Thursday at a trial into appointments to Rome city
council, judicial sources said Tuesday.
Raggi is charged with lying about the appointment of Renato
Marra, brother of her former right-hand man Raffaele,
as Rome's tourism chief.
Raffaele Marra is on trial for abuse of office in a separate
case.
Raffaele marra said Tuesday he would exercise his right to
silence in that trial, in which a verdict is due on November 10.
