Vincenzo Boccia, the president of
Italian industrialists association Confindustria, on Tuesday
called on Italy's political class to use fewer slogans.
"More politics, not less, is needed," Boccia said.
"But it should be the politics of solutions, not politics
that is only capable of increasing the (bond) spread with
statements.
"It is necessary to focus on growth, not making jibes like:
'who cares about the spread, the people are behind us'.
"My advice is to deal with the spread. Just one point more
costs 20 billion euros.
"Growth is needed. That means a sustainable budget and
government credibility".
