The government has said it will
scrap limits on the number of students who can be admitted to
medicine-degree courses.
The move is among the measures in its draft budgetary plan
for 2019.
"The limited number in medicine faculties is abolished, thus
making it possible for everyone to have access," it said.
Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini said "I've always been against
limits on numbers in scientific faculties.
"WE need engineers and doctors".
