Interior Minister Matteo Salvini
said Thursday that an amendment will be presented to his
security decree to make soccer clubs give part of their ticket
revenues to the State to contribute to the policing of games.
"Every Sunday thousands of police officers are engaged in
managing public order and who pays? We do," Salvini said in a
video broadcast on Facebook.
"We will ask the soccer clubs to devote 5-10% of their ticket
revenues to public-order management.
"It is not fair that the Italian people should pay".
