Deputy Premier Luigi Di Maio
said Monday that he is "absolutely sure" motorway concessionary
Autostrade will not rebuild Genoa's Morandi bridge, which
collapsed on August 14, killing 43 people.
"The super-commissioner for reconstruction will have the
authority to rebuild the bridge immediately," Di Maio said.
"I believe the international community appreciates that we
aren't letting rebuild those who made it collapse," he said.
"(Autostrade) won't put in even one stone, but it will put in
the money," he said.
