Italian Economy Minister Pier Carlo
Padoan said on Thursday there's "no liquidity problem" with
troubled lenders Popolare di Vicenza and Veneto Banca, for which
the prospect of a bail-in is looming. "There are European
procedures and we're working with those," Padoan said. "The
situation must be continuously monitored and we plan to arrive
at a solid solution shortly," he said.
