Outgoing Premier Matteo Renzi
told his Democratic Party (PD) executive Wednesday he hoped to
be "luckier playing on the Playstation with my children tomorrow
morning than I have been with some others here". He said he was
going home to help celebrate the 86th birthday of his younger
grandmother, adding "thanks to the elderly" in a reference to
the breakdown of Sunday's Constitutional reform referendum vote,
which he lost overall but won among the over-60s.
