Boldrini on Tuesday reiterated a call for action against
Web-based hate, saying social networks had failed "to fight
hatred on the Internet" and denouncing fresh attacks against
her. "The European Commission, despite deals reached in May with
the Web giants, says today that in the last six months only 28%
of messages flagged as hate speech were removed. And meantime
hate, fuelled by the wind of disinformation, is spreading".
Boldrini was recently praise for publishing a stream of shocking
hate messages she has received.
