(ANSAmed) - Rome, December 1 - British Foreign Secretary
Boris Johnson on Thursday recalled Gianni De Michelis, the
Socialist foreign minister who liked disco dancing, saying he
should have been heeded when he called for helping North African
countries. "Do you remember De Michelis? He was a minister 20
years ago, big, Socialist, who loved dancing in the
discotheque...he told all European countries they should put
part of their GDP into North African countries to promote
economic growth. If we had listened to him...", Johnson said at
a Med Dialogues forum at the Italian foreign ministry in Rome.
