Italy won't give up saving
refugee lives at sea, Premier Matteo Renzi said Wednesday at a
rally for a 'Yes' vote in a December 4 referendum on his
constitutional reform law. "The European Union is the high and
noble dream of our fathers," he said. "(It was) born to tear
walls down not to build them. For this reason as well, we won't
give up our humanity, we won't stop saving human lives at sea
and acting with altruism and solidarity to restore hope to those
who are in search of a future". The premier is campaigning all
over Italy for a 'Yes' vote.
