The head of magistrates' union
ANM, Piercamillo Davigo, said after two hours of talks with
Premier Matteo Renzi and Justice Minister Andrea Orlando Monday
that "we manifested the malaise of the magistracy over a series
of problems and Premier Renzi made an overture over a series of
things". The ANM has complained about government reforms and
threatened to go on strike. On Sunday Renzi appeared to dismiss
their complaints, stressing the importance of reaching sentences
faster.
