Cabinet Secretary Tommaso
Nannicini said Thursday that there should be more money for the
so-called esodati (exiled ones) in the 2017 budget bill.
The countless esodati were left without jobs or pensions by
a controversial 2011 pension reform raising the retirement age
and bearing the name of then labour minister Elsa Fornero.
The government has been helping them in batches but there
are still thousands left.
"After consultations, the conclusions will be drawn in the
budget law and there is sure to be an intervention that uses the
resources that are available for that group," Nannicini told
Radio Anch'io.
