Premier Matteo Renzi said
Tuesday that Italy's national health service had endured too
many cuts in recent years. "Italy must stop applying
across-the-board cuts," Renzi said during a visit to Milan's San
Raffaele hospital. "It's clear that there have been too many
health cuts". The premier argued this his executive, which came
to power in 2014, has stopped the trend, saying the health
service fund has increased from 106 billion euros a year to 112
billion.
