Newly elected Rome Mayor Virginia
Raggi on Tuesday announced 1,121 new permanent hires for nursery
and pre-school facilities in the capital.
"On taking office we immediately set about stabilising the
(contractual) position of nursery school educators and
pre-school teachers," said Raggi of the anti-establishment Five
Star Movement (M5S) in a post to her Facebook account.
"Now we can say with satisfaction that this work has borne
fruit and that through its extraordinary employment plan for
2016 city hall can hire 1,121 female teachers with open-ended
contracts," she added.
