Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi of the
anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) said Friday "we are
coherent" when reporters asked whether she would confirm that
Rome would not make a bid to host the 2024 Olympics. Raggi said
during her campaign that she would scrap the bid because the
city has other problems to deal with, but earlier this week said
a final decision would be made in October. Raggi made her
comments during a visit to House Speaker Laura Boldrini.
