Italy and the Netherlands are to
'share' a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security
Council after several votes failed to give a majority to either
for the two-year post Wednesday.
The Italians and the Dutch have agreed to have the seat for
one year each.
Sweden was voted in ahead of the pair as the first European
representative.
