The Indian supreme court's
enactment of a Hague arbitration tribunal's order to send back
to Italy marine Salvatore Girone while the case of the 2012
killing of two Indian fishermen is heard is "a great result for
team work", Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Thursday. He
confirmed that Girone will come back to Italy by the end of the
week. Girone is accused along with fellow marine Massimiliano
Latorre of killing the fishermen after mistaking them for
pirates off the coast of Kerala in February 2012. The
arbitration is expected to last until some time in 2018.
