Premier Matteo Renzi said Tuesday
that his government will soon sign a pact to boost the southern
region of Puglia.
"I can announce that within 15 days we will be able to
sign the pact for Puglia too," Renzi said after signing a
similar agreement for the metropolitan city of Bari, in Puglia.
Recently there have been disagreements between Renzi and
Puglia Governor Michele Emiliano over funding for the pact, but
these seem to have been put to bed.
"I thank Governor Emiliano and (Cabinet Secretary Claudio)
De Vincenti," Renzi added.
"And I'm grateful to the offices of the regional
government for having taken the path that enabled us to overcome
the polemics of recent days".
