Matteo Renzi said Thursday in his address to a round table on
the State of the European Union at the Capitoline Museums in
Rome that Italy "is not in love" with this or that form of
financing for its proposed Migration Compact. "We are in love
with the idea that the Migration Compact can help Africa," he
said. Italy's proposal included issuing eurobonds to finance aid
and investment in migrants' countries of origin.
