Premier Matteo Renzi and Basilicata
Governor Marcello Pittella on Monday signed a four-billion-euro
investment Pact for Basilicata. Of those investments, 2.2
billion euros are already available. The pact contains measures
to "enact priority interventions and identify areas of
intervention that are of strategic interest to the region". They
include 1.83 billion euros for infrastructure, 953 million for
the environment, 424 million for industrial and economic
development, 308 million for tourism and culture, and 278
million for welfare and lawfulness.
