Voting on the government's
so-called Local Bodies decree containing a raft of cost-cutting
measures was delayed to Tuesday after the Senate on Monday
failed to reach a quorum for the fourth time.
The government is set to put the decree - which includes
cuts to the national health care system - to a confidence vote.
It must be approved by August 18 or it will become null and
void.
