Financial markets in Milan opened sharply lower on Monday amid concerns over the Greek debt crisis. The FTSE Mib, led lower by bank stocks, shed 3.44% by mid-morning while other European financial markets were also falling over similar concerns. Some Italian bank shares including Unicredit and Intesa were suspended at certain points for excessive volatility during early trading. At one point, Unicredit had fallen by 7.89% and Intesa was down 5.8% while shoe giant Tod's fell 6.3%.
