(ANSA) Rome, May 22 - Italy's police and intelligence
forces have their antennae "extremely finely tuned" to detect
possible terrorist infiltration among illegal immigrants
arriving on the peninsula, national police chief Alessandro
Pansa said Friday.
"We have the tools and efficient coordination between the
forces of law and order and the intelligence services as well as
international collaboration that works," Pansa told reporters.
"Our antennae are extremely well tuned toward people
arriving," on migrant boats from Africa he said.
Pansa made the remarks after the arrest of a Moroccan
suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack at the Bardo
museum in Tunis.
