Northern League chief Matteo
Salvini said Friday opposing the party's candidate for governor
is as good as leaving the party. "Whoever doesn't support
(Veneto Governor) Luca Zaia is putting himself out of the
League," said Salvini. Verona Mayor Flavio Tosi has said he may
quit the League and run against the party's official candidate
in upcoming regional elections in Veneto. Salvini earlier met
with Silvio Berlusconi. "We talked about Milan (football team)
for ages," Salvini told reporters.
